1. Agreement to terms

  • By downloading, installing, or using Routinee ("the app"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy
  • If you do not agree, do not use the app
  • We may update these terms; continued use after changes means acceptance

2. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital consent age in your country) to use the app
  • You must be at least 18 to purchase a subscription
  • By using the app, you confirm the information you provide is accurate

3. Your account

  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account
  • One account per person; accounts are non-transferable
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms

4. The service

  • Routinee provides tools for tracking expenses, budgets, habits, tasks, savings, and shared couple features (shared budgets, todos, notes, gifts, streaks, memories, and related features)
  • Features may be added, changed, or removed at any time
  • We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free service

5. Routinee is not financial advice

  • The app is a personal tracking tool only
  • Nothing in the app constitutes financial, investment, tax, or legal advice
  • Amounts, totals, budgets, and insights are based solely on data you enter — verify important figures independently
  • We are not liable for financial decisions made based on the app

6. Premium subscription

  • Plans: Monthly (₹49 or local equivalent) and Yearly (₹499 or local equivalent), each with a 3-day free trial for new subscribers
  • Billing: processed by Google Play; we never see your payment details
  • Auto-renewal: subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
  • Free trial: converts to a paid subscription automatically unless cancelled before the trial ends
  • Cancellation: anytime via Google Play → Subscriptions; access continues until the end of the paid period
  • Refunds: governed by Google Play's refund policy; we do not issue refunds directly
  • Price changes: we may change prices; existing subscribers will be notified in advance and changes apply from the next billing cycle
  • Couple benefit: if either connected partner has premium, both receive premium features; this benefit ends if the partnership is disconnected or the subscription lapses

7. Couple features & shared data

  • Connecting with a partner requires mutual consent (invite and accept)
  • Once connected, data in couple features (shared budgets, couple expense history, todos, savings, mood check-ins, notes, gifts, memories, special days, goals) is visible to your partner by design
  • Think before you share: we cannot un-share what your partner has already seen
  • Either partner may disconnect at any time, which stops future sharing
  • We are not responsible for disputes between partners or for how your partner uses data you shared with them

8. Your content

  • You retain ownership of everything you create in the app (entries, notes, photos)
  • You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely to operate the app (including showing shared content to your connected partner)
  • You are responsible for your content — do not upload anything illegal, infringing, or harmful
  • We may remove content that violates these terms or the law

9. Acceptable use

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the app for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with the app
  • Abuse, overload, or interfere with our servers or APIs
  • Use bots, scrapers, or automated access
  • Resell or commercially exploit the app or its content
  • Upload malicious code or content

10. Intellectual property

  • The app, its design, logos, features, and code are owned by us and protected by law
  • These terms grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes
  • "Routinee" and its logo may not be used without written permission

11. Notifications

  • The app sends local and push notifications (streak reminders, budget alerts, partner activity, goal deadlines) if you grant permission
  • You can disable them anytime in device settings; some features (streak warnings, penalty reminders) depend on notifications to work fully

12. Third-party services

  • The app relies on third-party services (Appwrite, Google Play Billing, RevenueCat, push notification providers)
  • We are not responsible for outages or issues caused by these providers
  • Their own terms may apply to their portions of the service

13. Termination

  • By you: stop using the app and/or request account deletion at any time
  • By us: we may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, with or without notice
  • On termination, your license to use the app ends; subscription refunds remain subject to Google Play policy
  • Sections that by nature survive termination (liability limits, IP, governing law) continue to apply

14. Disclaimers

  • The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied
  • We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, secure, or always available
  • Data loss can occur — while we take backups and precautions, you use the app at your own risk

15. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages (including lost data, lost savings, or relationship disputes) arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or ₹1,000 if you paid nothing).

16. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your content, your misuse of the app, or your violation of these terms.

17. Governing law & disputes

  • These terms are governed by the laws of India
  • Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kochi, Kerala
  • Before formal proceedings, you agree to first contact us to attempt informal resolution

18. General

  • If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect
  • Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it
  • These terms plus the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the app
