Routinee respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how it is stored, and what rights you have. By using Routinee, you agree to these practices.
1. Who we are
Routinee ("the app", "we") is a personal productivity and couples companion app for tracking expenses, budgets, habits, tasks, savings, and shared moments with a partner. For any questions, contact routineeapp@gmail.com.
2. Information we collect
Account information — your email address and name, used to create and secure your account. A verification code is sent to your email during sign-up.
Content you create — expenses, budgets, tasks, habits and habit logs, and savings entries. Couple content such as shared budgets, todos, love notes, surprise gifts, mood check-ins, special days, shared goals, memories, and journey entries. Photos you upload to the Memory Journal / Relationship Map (max 5MB each).
Partner connection — when you invite a partner, your email and name become visible to them (and theirs to you) to enable shared features.
Purchase information — your subscription status (premium active/expiry) is processed via Google Play Billing and RevenueCat; we never see or store your card details.
Device information — a push notification token, if you allow notifications, and onboarding answers, collected in aggregate to understand which features matter to users.
3. What we do NOT collect
- No location tracking
- No contacts access
- No advertising identifiers — the app contains no ads
- No card or banking details (amounts you log are numbers you type; we never connect to your bank)
4. How we use your information
- To provide the app's features (sync your data across devices, share with your connected partner)
- To send notifications you've enabled (streak reminders, budget warnings, partner activity, goal deadlines)
- To manage your premium subscription
- To improve the app using aggregated, anonymized usage patterns
5. Sharing with your partner
Connecting with a partner is always by mutual consent (invite + accept). Once connected, your partner can see shared budgets, both partners' expenses in couple history, shared todos, savings, mood check-ins, and content either of you adds to couple features. Your solo tasks, habits, and personal notes are not shared. Disconnecting a partnership stops all sharing.
6. Third-party services we use
- Appwrite — secure cloud database and authentication (stores your account and content)
- Google Play Billing — payment processing
- RevenueCat — subscription management
- Expo / Firebase Cloud Messaging — push notification delivery
Each processes data only as needed to provide their service.
7. Data storage & security
- Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS)
- Access to your data requires your authenticated session
- Local settings (currency, onboarding status) are stored securely on your device only
8. Data retention & deletion
- Your data is kept as long as your account is active
- You can delete individual items (expenses, budgets, notes, photos, etc.) anytime in the app
- To delete your account and all associated data, contact us at routineeapp@gmail.com — we complete deletion within 30 days
- Closed tasks are automatically deleted 24 hours after completion
9. Your rights
- Access, correct, or delete your personal data
- Withdraw notification permission anytime in device settings
- Cancel your subscription anytime via Google Play
- Disconnect your partner at any time
10. Children's privacy
Routinee is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country); we do not knowingly collect data from children.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy; material changes will be communicated in the app. Continued use after changes means acceptance.
